Description Fragment of a jug with spout, medieval. Due to the proximity of known Bronze Age burial cists, an archaeological
evaluation was carried out by GUARD Archaeology Ltd of an area proposedfor development at Allanton. The trial trench evaluation encountered two isolated archaeological features comprising a small post-hole and a shallow pit, none of which are deemed archaeological significant. This piece of pottery was found with two other objects, a piece of flint, possibly a scraper and a piece of vitrified stone.
