Description Ensignette No.2 Camera. Handheld folding camera with metal (brass) body painted black which splits into two pieces and expands on chrome rods with black leather bellows between. On front, is image of Ensign flag and 'British made' plus 'Made by Houghtons Ltd England'. Name of camera model Ensignette No.2 is around lens, plus the numbers 22, 16 and 11. These numbers refer to the sector stops or 'f stops'. Camera appears to be missing focussing lenses which fit on the front of the lens.
Camera operates by pressing a small chrome lever on the top front of the camera. On the back section, the film is wound through using a chrome dial, and the progress of the film can be noted using a red tinted circular window. The view finder can be found on the side of the front section.
This camera produced 6 2" by 3" images on a roll of film. Camera in brown canvas pouch (numbered separately) which appears to be original.
