| Wooden hand-loom with metal dobby. All accessories. Made circa 1930. This loom is of the same design as the hand-looms of the nineteenth century. Patterned cloth was created with the use of the "dobby" a chain of bars and pegs which controlled the grouping of threads. The dobby loom could be operated by one person. |
