Description
| Possibly of oriental origin. Made from a bronze-like metal. There is a seam running the length of the handle, suggesting it is a rolled tube rather than a solid bar. There is a narrow, axe-like edge on one side of the head, with a longer, curved spike on the other. The head is capped by a spike, which is slightly bent off centre. The axe formed part of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) museum collection, and was possible collected when the Regiment was based in India, Hong Kong etc. |
