| Socket type bayonet with cruciform bayonet, i.e the blade is not flat, it is shaped like a cross (+). The blade would be firmly held in place with the locking ring, which hangs loosely round the base of the bayonet. There are no obvious stamps or serial numbers to aid in identification. It is likely however that this an early version of the bayonet to fit the Russian Mosin-Nagant rifle. |
