Name/Title Dirk (dagger)
Measurements H 16.5 W 3.5cm (H 6 1/2 W 1 3/8")
Media/Materials bronze/metal
Description Middle Bronze Age, 6' x 1'. Originally referred to as a 'dagger.'

There is no evidence of the rivet holes that are usually seen on Bronze Age dirks. After consultation with Trevor Cowie, Bronze Age curator, NMS (August 2015) he states, "... the (rather inefficient) method of attaching the rivets would seem to have been by means of notches rather than enclosed holes."
