Description Indian dagger, also known as a Katar, Katara, Kattari, or Bundi Dagger. Consists of two parallel bars joined by handle with blade. This particular example would appear to be of genuine, south Indian manufacture. These daggers are unusual in being primarily a punching weapon rather than for slashing. The strong, lightweight blade was very effective at piercing enemy body armour.
