| Graduation photograph of Margaret MacKay Anderson on her graduation from Glasgow Uni 1929 where she graduated with a 1st class honours degree in French and German. Photograph is in a card mount with makers name on front.
Items from this archive relate to the Anderson family of Strathaven. David Fyfe Anderson (senior) was a draper in Waterside Street in the town and was married to Mary Ann Anderson (nee MacKay), their son David Fyfe Anderson attended Strathaven Academy and Glasgow Academy where he was dux and he later went on to become an eminent doctor in Glasgow. Daughter Margaret Mackay Anderson attended Strathaven Academy and Hamilton Grammar where she was dux, she later studied German and French at Glasgow University. |
