Description First Field Dressing, as used by British soldiers in the First World War. Light brown fabric pouch containing tightly wound wound dressing, sealed at one edge with two pieces of knotted fabric tape. Directions for use printed on one side of pouch. Unopened and unused. This field dressing was carried by Company Quarter Master Serjeant John Edmiston, M.M., of the 6th Battalion The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) during the First World War.
