Description Tall, narrow, finger loop at top. No lid or stopper. Roughly made (thrown), caramel coloured. Stamped on side: APOLLINARIS - BRUNNEN - M - W [in a circle with a symbol] and GEORG KREUZBERG AHRWEILER RHEINPREUSSE. Incised by hand on other side 'No 1 / J'.
This bottle is of German origin and was used for carbonated water, bottled in Rheinish Prussia for the company George Kreuzberg. This type of bottle was used pre-1900, when they were replaced by glass.
