Description Scroll-shaped badge, the word MOUNTAIN in white on a blue background, bordered with a black edge. This badge was worn underneath a shield-shaped saltire badge of the same colours. It was worn on the upper-arm of a soldier's battledress jacket to show he belonged to the 52nd (Lowland) Division. The badge is one of two that belonged to Lance Corporal Robert Russell Hunter who served with the 6th Battalion The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) in the Second World War. The 6th Battalion were part of the 52nd (Lowland) Division, who were trained and equipped for mountain warfare. The badge was stored in a small, brown leather wallet along with other formation insignia belonging to L/Cpl Hunter.
