Description Hunting Pitcher. Two tones of brown with moulded decorations of hunting scene, trees, a man smoking with his foot on a barrel, another man on a barrel with 'Old Will 1761' on it, 3 mean seated at a table drinking and smoking. Fleur de lys style decoration at base of the handle. '1/2' incised on side. Four metal pegs around top, presume for lid. No maker marks but possibly English (Staffordshire) or made by Port Dundas in Glasgow. There are similar jugs in the collection of the V&A, made by Port Dundas. Presumably for alcohol.
