Description Bone china side plate or tea plate. Square with circular base, short curving wall and transfer printed pansy design. Gilt edged. Part of bone china tea-service (36 pieces) consisting of 12 cups, 12 saucers, and 12 plates. The set was used for visit of HM The Queen, to Rutherglen on 25 June 1953. No maker’s mark on base but ‘417’ hand painted, possibly pattern number.
