Description Painting in oil of steamer 'Swan' built by T B Seath & Co, Rutherglen, in 1869 for the United Steam Yacht Co, Windermere, for passenger service on Windermere. Steamer was withdrawn from service and broken up 1938.
Painting is signed at lower right. Painting was likely painted in the 1970s or 1980s from a contemporary photograph. It was framed and glazed at one point but may have since been unframed.

The painting was displayed as part of the Treasures of South Lanarkshire Exhibition in 2001, in the Fives Court at Low Parks Museum.
