| Painting in oil of the steamers 'Raven' and 'Lady of the Lake' both built by T B Seath & Co, Rutherglen, for the Ullswater Steam Navigation Co, for service on the lake; the former built in 1889 and the latter in 1877. Both were later converted to be diesel driven and with new superstructures but original hulls and still in service. Painting was likely painted in the 1970s or 1980s from a contemporary photograph. Painting signed at lower right, framed and glazed. |
