Description Scale model, radio controlled, of Cunard liner RMS "Queen Mary" of 1930s. Full hull model built for floating. Built by Mr J Hill of Hamilton.

Date of construction is unknown but pre 1967. Former curator Terry Mackenzie recollects hearsay testimony in the 1970s that the model was cruised on the pond at Strathaven Park, Strathaven, S. Lanarkshire.

In 1993 the original storage cabinet for this model was seen at Low Parks Museum. T Mackenzie recalls being told that Mr Hill, who owned a joinery business in Hamilton, had worked as a carpenter in the construction of the original "Queen Mary" at John Brown of Clydebank.

Mr Hill also constructed a model of the battlecruiser HMS "Hood", also built by John Brown Shipyard.
