Description
| From uniform of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). Part of badge which would be worn on the belt that crosses the body. This is the front part of the badge, with the Cameronian crest with a crown on top, and the words 'The Scottish Rifles' underneath. This shows it dates to pre-1881, and would have been used by the 90th/2nd battalion. A flat piece of metal is also paired with this badge, as the backing. |
