Description Photograph of Captain James Lusk standing in his full military uniform. Photo is mounted in grey card.

Captain and Adjutant James Lusk served with the 6th Battalion of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). He was commissioned into the 6th Battalion as a territorial officer in 1908. He died of wounds received in action in France 29th December 1915. His grandfather was David Colville founder of the Dalzell Steelworks in Motherwell. After studying at Cambridge University James became one of the directors at the firm. His parents lived at Dunavon House, Strathaven.
His brother Rev David Colville Lusk M.A. was the chaplain to Presbyterian members of Oxford University 1914-1933.
