| Description
| Caramel colour glaze. Raised decorative vine and image of a man taking snuff. originally would have been overpainted with writing on the banner shape. Stamped below rim: 3/4 GALL. Believed to have been made by the Caledonian Pottery pre-1850 but no maker's marks to confirm this. Appears to be the same maker as 80.1527, a 1 gallon tobacco jar, also of unknown maker. |
