Description Decorated with pattern of figures, trees and buildings. Decoration is purple transfer print on white ground with red and blue and green hand-painted highlights to figures, shrubs and trees.

Inner and outer rim have a broad border of blue and red flowers on purple plus on outer side of spout and under the handle are scenes in these colours. Down the handle is a blue and red flower pattern, interspersed with a leaf design. Made by Annfield Pottery, Glasgow in the Andalusia Pattern. No marks on base

Annfield Pottery was established between 1816 and 1826 by John Thomson and was sited in the east end of Glasgow. The pottery was closed by 1883. The Annfield pottery produced utilitarian rather than ornamental wares, and exported to Canada and Australia. Items may be marked with Thomson, J.T., J.T. & Sons or Prince of Wales.
