Description Shallow square dish with Chinese tree, flowers and border. Dark transfer outline with hand painted colours and lustrous painted edges and borders. Lustrous trim. Printed on base: Chantilly, J T & Sons (Thomson of Glasgow - Annfield Pottery).

Annfield Pottery was established between 1816 and 1826 by John Thomson and was sited in the east end of Glasgow. The pottery was closed by 1883. The Annfield pottery produced utilitarian rather than ornamental wares, and exported to Canada and Australia. Items may be marked with Thomson, J.T., J.T. & Sons or Prince of Wales.
