Description Heart shaped pin cushion with navy fringing around outside edge. decorated with pattern made by pins stuck into beads and sequins. Made of faded blue fabric on top and cream fabric beneath. Pinned on at the centre is a paper label with crest and name of 'Royal Engineers' and at top right and left are material labels. One has four flags of Great Britain, France, Russia and Belgium and the other a short poem called 'Think of Me'. This would date item to First World War Era. This is a sweetheart pin cushion which was probably made by a soldier, possibly during a period of respite or recovery from the trenches, and sent to his family as a momento.
