Description
| A white china tea plate. Plate has an irregular edge painted gold and a pattern of glazed pink, blue and green, wild roses and a gold line painted in a wide border around the edge. In the centre, a gold circle 4.1cm in diameter. Plate has no identifying marks on the back, only five dots in red (as could be seen on the five within a set of playing cards) and a gold Y. There is a matching cup and saucer for this tea plate.
This plate was previously broken but was conserved and repaired at the University of Lincoln in 2007. |
