Description View of small cottage in rural setting fronting onto road. There are two figures on the left and a cockerel and hens at the bottom left. The house is the birthplace of James Gilmour, Missionary, born in 1843. The house is on the Carmunnock Road. Gilmour was born in Cathkin and became a missionary in China and Mongolia. He died in 1891.
