Description
| Moulded buff jug with thick crazed clear (possibly Bristol) glaze, in shape of begging spaniel dog on haunches with its head acting as tri-lobed lip. Thick 'C' shaped strap handle. Eyes and facial features and paws picked out in black overglaze with brown painted patches. British late 19th century. Similar body to marked Caledonian Pottery Co Ltd pieces but no marks. |
