Description Painting, oil on canvas. View of TB Seath's shipyard in Rutherglen with 4 ships - 3 under construction, one with flags appears ready for launching. Launching party on right by temporary wooded building. Townscape with town hall tower behind and Cathkin Braes in distance. 2 small steam boats on river plus 3 manned rowing boats
Gilt framed, glazed, partial signature at lower left: '...(har?)ty'.(J Docharty?). This is believed to be James L C Docharty, a Glasgow-based artist who exhibited in Glasgow and at the Royal Scottish Academy and with the RSW, but this is unconfirmed.
Displayed as part of the Treasures of South Lanarkshire Exhibition 2001, in the Fives Court at Low Parks Museum.
