| Black note book (pocket book) with bullet lodged near spine, inside cover has morse code. The book is signed David Smith, 14th October 1914.
This notebook is a life-saver. It belonged to Private David Smith of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles and was in his pocket when he was shot, stopping the bullet and saving his life. The bullet is still embedded in the notebook. |
