Description Silver cup with plain body , Double handled, handles decorated with lions on top of Crowns, engraved 'Army Boxing Association / Individual Championships 1936 / Heavy-weight / Winner / Sgt. R V Wallis.
Hallmarked on reverse with initals H.P, lion passant, leopard's head and small letter 'u' in tudor-style script. Engraved on base Phillips Aldershot.
See The Covenanter 1987 p.23 which reports that Wallis donated 31 trophies to the Regimental Museum. Article includes a photograph of Wallis (referred to as Wallace throughout) and the trophies donated.
