| Oil on canvas showing a man and white cattle in trees, with field to left. A verderer is a man in charge of royal forests, traditionally in medieval Britain. Painting has gilt frame, unglazed. Signed at lower left.
This painting was displayed in the Rutherglen section of the temporary exhibition: “Treasures of South Lanarkshire” in 2001-2002. The venue for the exhibition was the Fives Court and the rear gallery at Low Parks Museum. |
